This isn't another tech demo dressed up as a game. It's a real server, running right now, full of real players doing piracy-related crimes.
What Is This?
Picture the golden age of piracy, except you're in it, and the world is procedurally generated, and survival is genuinely up to you. Windrose drops you into a vast open ocean with land to plunder, resources to gather, ships to build, crews to assemble, and rivals to send to the bottom.
You can play it like a chill craft-and-sail sandbox. You can play it like a ruthless naval warlord. Most people end up doing both. That's kind of the point.
What You Can Actually Do
- Captain your own ship. Build it. Customize it. Watch someone sink it. Build a better one.
- Recruit a crew. Roll with friends or rally strangers under your flag.
- Survive. Hunger, weather, hostile shores, hostier players. The sea doesn't care about your feelings.
- Plunder. Loot, trade, raid, or run an honest merchant operation if you're a coward. (We're kidding. Mostly.)
- Explore. Every world is procedurally generated — no two voyages the same.
- Build something that lasts. Outposts, fleets, alliances, reputations. Or burn it all down. Your call.
Why Our Server Hits Different
Our infrastructure does the boring work so you can focus on the fun work, which is mostly betraying your friends for gold. We are also a tight community of players old and new.
We also actually answer support tickets, which apparently is a wild concept in 2026.
